Principal's Message

My name is Michael Laliberte and I am a member of Canoe Lake Cree Nation. I have been in Education for nine years. I have spent my entire teaching career in Saulteaux communities in various positions such as classroom teacher, physical education teacher, high school teacher, learning resource teacher, and administrator. I am new to Chief Sabitawasis School in the 2025-26 school year and I am happy and honoured to be a part of this school. I believe in furthering First Nations education, especially in the area of special education. I have recently completed the Post Degree Certificate in Special Education from the University of Saskatchewan. With this experience, I would like to provide as many services as possible to our First Nations students with exceptional needs.
